The Land In Silence

The land in silence.

      Holds a breath without warmth.

Trees have laid themselves bare.

Animals seek shelter,

      dark against a pristine blank scene.

The land in silence.

      Sees a world glimmer devoid of color.

Crystals strewn to shimmer against the sun.

Images fade against a background that 

       cradles a place in time.

 

The land in silence.

        Embossed in a blanket.

Time held still in a perfect moment.

Mother smiles as

         She lays the world to sleep.
